We are seeking a Laboratory Operations Manager to be based in Mont-Saint-Guibert (Belgium-Brussels area). In this key position, you will set the standard for operational excellence and safety across our research laboratory, driving process innovation, resource optimization, and a culture of collaboration. Your vision and expertise will enable scientific breakthroughs, support the growth of dedicated teams, and help advance our mission of delivering real-world impact for patients.

**What**You’ll** Do**

You will ensure our lab runs efficiently and safely-overseeing equipment, infrastructure, ordering, and inventory. Collaboration with top vendors, robust budget management, meticulous documentation, and leadership in lab safety as the designated biosafety officer are central to this role. Your leadership will set the standard for lab organization, excellence, and team collaboration. Onboarding and training of new staff will be overseen, with a focus on maintaining technical proficiency and upholding safety standards.

You will regularly collaborate with AstraZeneca colleagues across the globe from facility management teams, IT etc.

**What**You’ll** Bring**

Degree in Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field plus 5+ years’ lab experience. You excel with cell culture, viral vectors (like lentivirus or AAV), molecular assays (PCR, ELISA, flow), and hands-on lab management. You’re an expert in biosafety (BSL-2/2+), thrive on multitasking, and have a sharp eye for detail. You write and speak French and English fluently.

Extra points for experience in cell and gene therapy labs, GLP-style documentation, and Dutch language skills.
