**What you’ll do**:
In this role you will lead and develop initiatives to minimize barriers of prescription resulting from biomarker testing required in the oncology field by enabling seamless sample flow between clinicians and labs.

You will engage with laboratory experts and diagnostic partners in order to have in-depth medical/scientific diagnostic discussions or delivering presentations in a non-promotional scientific context as determined by the local oncology diagnostic strategy. In this role you will be responsible for Walloon area and Luxemburg.

**Other responsibilities include**:

- Partner selection, liaison and support of pathologists, molecular biologists, geneticists and other decision makers in the diagnostic process
- Identifying and segment Key External Experts (KEEs) according to their scientific interest and related affiliations to contribute to the local KEE engagement plan.
- Implementation of national diagnostic strategies
- Engagement with the Diagnostic community in a highly credible, balanced way, representing AZ's dedication to and excellence in science
- Providing support to internal partners for content development, providing feedback from field interactions and delivery of effective diagnostic presentations
- Presentation and discussion of study results
- Effectively gathering relevant new knowledge and significant insights about the external diagnostic environment to internal colleagues

**Essential skills and qualifications**:

- Master degree in Science related field
- 3-year hands-on experience with one of these relevant lab techniques: IHC, PCR or NGS or alternatively with a support role in a diagnostics company
- Communication and presentation skills
- Experience in delivery of scientific content in a structured style
- Experience with oncology biomarkers in the area of pathology or molecular biology
- Existing network in diagnostic labs (pathology or genetics)
- Previous experience in a cross functional working environment
- Successful track record with project management
- Knowledge of MS Office and CRM reporting tools
- Proficiency in French and English,

**Desirable for the role**:

- Strong scientific interest in various analysis methods (eg IHC, NGS seq, ddPCR, image analysis)
- Knowledge of Dutch
- PhD
