**Role Overview**

The Payroll and Benefits Manager lead and deliver payroll and benefit operations services for both Ireland and Belgium. He/She will play a role in the process and implementation as well as continuously enhancement.

He/She will serve as the point of contact for the payroll officers for all organizational aspects. You will coach your payroll team and guide them in their personal career development.

Where necessary, you will support the HR business partners for all questions regarding payroll administration and benefits policies and company procedures

The Payroll & Benefits manager is updated on HR policies, receives continuous updates on employment regulations, procedures, and decisions resulting from various consultation structures such as works council, CPBW, company collective labor agreements and consultation with unions.

He/she formulates proposals if adjustments are necessary after checking the legal context.

He/She will be a key enabler in the implementation of the defined strategy to optimize wages (oa cafeteria plan) on regular base to ensure Legend's competitiveness.

Analyze the benefit program and provide recommendations.

You will take part in our coordinate several HR-related projects (ea implementation HRIS).

You will follow the various changes in the relevant legislation and collective labor agreements and ensure that these changes are implemented and applied by the payroll team. You will also be responsible for managing the group insurance policy.

You will strive for constant improvement and efficiency in processes and operations. You will be responsible for monitoring collaboration with service providers (such as the payroll agency), including setting up the parameters for the systems used.

**Major Responsibilities**:
As Payroll & Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

- You manage a growing team of payroll professionals and lead and deliver payroll related activities for employees and expats
- You define and execute the Comp & Ben strategy within your scope, anticipate future changes, liaise with local and international HR teams in order to develop, implement and manage specific Comp&Ben policies (bike lease, electric vehicles policy, insurances, flexible income plan, salary benchmark...)
- You work on the compensation and benefits policy, making sure all processes and procedures are well documented
- You partner with the business on best practices, strategy, process with regards to compensation & benefits matters
- You advise and support colleagues, managers on social legislation related questions and follow the latest market trends

**Qualification**

**Education**:

- A Master's degree or equivalent experience.

**Experience**:

- Expertise in payroll and benefits administration.
- A strong interest in process optimization and (semi-) automation.
- At least +5 years' experience in a payroll function.
- A strong knowledge of HR, Payroll, reporting tools.
- Expertise in the social legislation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and proactive attitude.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, both for your own projects and in coaching your team.
- Ability to work with accuracy on the details, but also to stand back and see the big picture (helicopter view).
- Analytical and pragmatic mind-set.
