**VANDEWIELE is an international company active in mechanical engineering and technology development.**

**Our HQ is located in Kortrijk. Our R&D team - consisting of about a hundred engineers - is developing innovative machines and optimisations for the têxtile industry on a daily basis. We also have a state-of-the-art production environment, where the entire production process is realised in-house from A to Z.**

**We are increasingly focusing on the pillar of customer-centricity. Here, building a good documentation platform for the user is crucial. That is why we are currently looking for a technical writer.**

**Your role**:
As technical writer, you will describe and maintain the (technical) documentation of Vandewiele products and modules. The target audience includes both users at our customers and internal employees.

With your communication skills, you gather the information you need from the product managers and experts (mechanical designers, software developers, users) from the various departments (R&D, assembly, after-sales, quality service).

**Your profile**:

- You are able to translate complex content into clear, user-centric documentation.
- You have the ability to step into the user's mindset and create documentation that best suits their needs.
- You have some experience with structured authoring tools (DITA-based) and content management systems (such as Ixiasoft).
- You have a fluent pen in both English and Dutch. Most documentation is written in English.
- You have an analytical mindset and an eye for detail.
- You are stress-resistant and result-oriented.
- Experience in mechanical engineering and CAD-based tools (Creo) is a plus.
