The scope, here, is evaluating and advising on the safety and compliance of technical infrastructure projects in a highly regulated airport environment.

The Key responsibilities expected from our consultant might include:
Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution, ensuring accuracy and meeting expectations:

- Analyze technical drawings, specifications, risk analyses and safety plans, then formulate improvement advice.
- Evaluate how prevention measures are integrated from the design stage and improve plans where needed.
- Research new health-and-safety regulations to maintain accurate project guidance.
- Document findings and draft internal guidelines, templates and checklists to standardize prevention measures.

Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality and timelines, providing objective analyses for decision-making:

- Evaluate whether technical designs and execution plans comply with current Belgian and EU health-and-safety laws and standards.
- Verify project files against the Codex on Well-being at Work and relevant ARAB articles.
- Examine design dossiers, measure compliance gaps and establish corrective actions.
- Monitor the implementation of recommended corrections until they are fully validated in design or construction.

Support projects by facilitating communication and reporting between stakeholders:

- Advise project managers, technical teams and prevention advisers on legal requirements and best practice.
- Present findings in coordination meetings and inform stakeholders through concise reports.
- Translate complex legislation into clear guidance and explain implications to non-specialists.
- Train colleagues by providing templates, checklists and short knowledge-sharing sessions.

The experience we are actively looking for:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in a consulting or supervision role on H&S within construction or infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of Belgian Codex Well-being at Work and relevant norms (e.g. NBN, ISO, EN)
- Experience in analysing, advising, and reporting throughout the full lifecycle of technical projects
- Bachelor or Master degree in construction or a technical domain
- Preventieadviseur Niveau II or Veiligheidscoördinator A certification is a strong asset
- Analytical and precise in reading technical documentation, autonomous, and capable of structured reporting
- Immediate availability and presence in Belgium are preferred
