Business Analyst - Risk Data & Calculations
Join a dynamic Risk & Credits environment where innovation in risk infrastructure drives regulatory compliance and credit risk monitoring. We're looking for a Business Analyst to support the extension of the central risk calculator and related projects, ensuring efficient implementation of risk models and compliance with Basel regulations.
**Location**: Brussels - 2 days per week onsite
**Contract Type**: CDI/Freelance

**️ Languages**: Dutch or French (fluent/good) + English (fluent in writing, good spoken)

**Responsibilities**:
Translate business requirements from Risk into detailed specifications.
**Perform functional analysis**: convert business requirements into system requirements.
**Perform technical analysis**: express business requirements in pseudo-code.
Implement algorithms in C# (FACT) used for risk models and calculations.
Develop SQL queries (Sybase IQ) for reporting and data analysis.
Use SQL (SQL Server, Oracle) for testing and validation.
Document ETL rules and ensure clarity for development teams.
Support regulatory and infrastructure projects such as Basel II/III, loan origination guidelines, and new accounting schemas.
**Requirements**:
Technical
6+ years of relevant experience.
4-5 years in functional analysis and IT development.
Strong expertise with C# and SQL.
Data/process analysis, requirements documentation, and testing skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
**Preferable**: XML/SOAP, MQ Series, advanced C# programming, ETL.
Business
Experience in large-scale IT development in complex environments.
**Preferable**: knowledge of credit risk (Basel II/III), regulatory requirements, or economics/mathematics background.
Soft Skills
