Our client is a main provider of software developing services in the transport industry, based in Brussels with offices close to a main railway station.
**Functieomschrijving**:
- You will grasp the complexity associated with modern platform solutions, you’ll break it down into understandable and workable bits towards both engineers as well as business stakeholders;
- You will identify desired qualities and constraints, ensuring risks and trade-offs are discussed within the team(s), guiding business stakeholders to take informed decisions;
- You will make sure the product you're assigned to is sound, well-understood and continues to evolve in a direction that support the business case;
- You will facilitate the architectural debate, ensuring the architectural decisions are made consciously and its trade-offs are well understood, both externally as internally;
- You'll operate as a most reliable partner for your solution design colleagues during the knowledge handover, creation and validation of their designs.
**Vereiste ervaring**:
- You have a **Master in an IT related domain or you’re equivalent by relevant professional experience**;
- You have **at least 7 years of relevant experience as a solution architect /software engineer;**:
- You have a broad knowledge in terms of technologies allowing you to collaborate efficiently with experts while being able to assess the impact of a technological choice on the architectural design;
- You are familiar with the challenges posed by creating secure software and how to manage them;
- You have the ability to grasp the complexity associated with modern platform solutions, to break it down into understandable bits towards both engineers as well as business stakeholders;
- You're able to facilitate the architectural processes, identifying desired qualities and constraints, ensuring risks and trade-offs are discussed within the team(s) and guiding business stakeholders to take informed decisions;
- You've got proven experience with common software engineering practices and architecture modelling practices;
- You’re always keen to learn new things, to share your knowledge, to embrace change and to learn from past experiences;
- You’re able to work in a team and you’re are always open for feedback from your team mates;
- You’re able to handle the pressure and flexibility of a dynamic company;
- You are **fluent in Dutch, French and English.**
