**Job description**:
We are looking for a Digital Design Director / Digital Art director to lead the design team in creating cohesive and immersive digital experiences.
As a Digital Design Director, you will play a critical role in bringing together all elements of our immersive experiences,
including UI design, animations, transitions, user interactions, sound design, and VFX. You should have a strong background in interactive / digital design
and a deep understanding of the design principles in digital communication.
Your role will involve overseeing the _work_ of designers, providing creative direction, and ensuring that all elements
of the digital experience _work_ together seamlessly to captivate and engage our audiences.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the creative direction on interactive design projects such as AR experiences, virtual worlds, minisites, minigames, and more.
- Brief and review designers on communication assets to drive traffic to our interactive experiences, including social videos,
rich media banners, creative homepage take-overs, and other digital communication assets.
- Collaborate with various in-_house_ team members, freelancers and production partners.
- Provide design guidance and support to team members, and coach them along the way.
- Act as a liaison between all parties to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
- Ensure all designs align with the _client_'s design guidelines and brand standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and bring new ideas to the table.
**Key Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Multimedia Design or related field.
- Proven experience as a digital art director, Design Director or Interactive Designer in an agency setting.
- Strong background in interactive design and a keen eye for design in all forms of digital communication.
- You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to brief designers,
provide creative direction, and motivate and guide a team.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- A basic understanding of Blender is a bonus.
- Ability to _work_ both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your design (direction) skills and experience in the field of
interactive experiences and/or digital communication.
- Fluency in Dutch and/or English is required for this position.
