Risk Analyst

Our client is an international banking group. The position will take place in Antwerpen.

For our client,** Robert Half** is currently looking for a **Risk Analyst (M/F/x) **for a permanent position based in Antwerpen.

**As Risk Analyst (M/F/x) you will be responsible for**:
**Credit Risk Role**:

- Estimate transaction risks and make credit recommendations
- Submit proposals to local/international credit committees
- Take decisions on risk acceptance within own authority
- Cover a broad scope of equipment types, financing structures, and customer profiles
- Participate in internal projects and policy development
- Work closely with a team and other departments

**Compliance Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate the Know Your Customer (KYC) - Anti-Money Laundering (AML) risk
- Perform Customer Due Diligence
- Submit proposals to local/international Anti-Money Laundering Officer (AMLO)
- Contribute to the internal control system by regular controls
- Identify and report operational risks

**Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Responsibilities**:

- Implement and monitor ESG Risk Management policies
- Screen customers on ESG criteria and escalate files to group

**Are you the Risk Analyst we're looking for?**
- You have at least a bachelor's degree in an economic field, complemented by additional **training in financial topics** if possible. You have a**t least 3 years** of relevant Credit and Compliance risk analysis experience in the financial sector.
- You have **strong analytical skills** with a sense of synthesis, an eye for detail and good writing skills. You are well organized, accurate and can handle deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in **Dutch and English, French is a plus**.
- You are a team player with excellent interpersonal skills who can also work independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
- Pro-active and willing to be **flexible** in work required
- Ability to identify and monitor risks
