To support our ambitious growth, we’re looking for a highly motivated **Senior Accountant** to help build a **best-in-class finance function**.

**What your job looks like**

As a **Senior Accountant**, you will take ownership of **key accounting activities** and drive improvements across our financial operations. You’ll lead our invoicing and collections processes, support our international expansion through new entity setup, and contribute to the continued maturity of our finance systems and processes.

You’ll report to the Head of Finance and Business Operations and work closely with cross-functional teams.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- ** General Accounting**
Support monthly and annual closing cycles, ensuring accurate general ledger records and full compliance with BeGAAP. Coordinate with auditors and external advisors during audit periods.
- ** Invoicing & Collections**

Own the billing cycle end-to-end - from invoice generation to follow-up. Monitor accounts receivable, perform aging analysis, and implement strategies for effective collections and cash flow optimization.
- ** International Expansion**
Assist in the setup of new legal entities abroad, including banking, tax registrations, compliance, and accounting infrastructure. Ensure smooth financial integration into our group structure.
- ** Process Improvements & Controls**
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes. Help formalize repeatable and scalable workflows and internal control practices.
- ** Project Management**
Support ad hoc finance-related projects, such as financial planning, tax structuring, compliance, and system enhancements.

**Who we are looking for**
- You have a **bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fields** and you have **at least 4-6 years of experience in an accounting or similar role**, preferably in a multi-entity or international environment.
- You have a **solid and broad accounting expertise** (AR/AP, invoicing, month & quarter closes, credit management, audit preparation, payroll,...) and have thorough knowledge of BE GAAP.
- You have a **proven ability to manage accounting processes end-to-end with mínimal supervision** and are familiar with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite
- You are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are fluent in **Dutch or French** and have a working proficiency in **English**.
