Contractor Uk Policy Analyst

**What You’ll Do**

As a Contractor analyst, you will:

- Monitor key UK policy debates, legislative developments, and political trends

- Produce sharp, concise summaries and in-depth analyses of policy issues and legislative files

- Conduct research on political, policy, and regulatory topics at the UK national level

- Deliver high-quality written reports that translate complex legislative and regulatory language into clear, actionable insights

- Contribute to custom analysis services, including on-demand research briefings on UK political and policy developments

- Collaborate with other analysts in POLITICO’s Research & Analysis Division, including both the policy and data teams, to deliver comprehensive insights

**What We’re Looking For**

- Deep expertise in UK politics and policymaking - strong grasp of the UK legislative process, key institutions (Parliament, Government, devolved administrations), and political dynamics

- Analytical thinking - ability to synthesize complex policy issues and assess political risks and opportunities

- Exceptional writing skills - clear, persuasive, and audience-focused communication in English

- Project management skills - ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work independently

- Fluency in English - proficiency in other European languages is a plus

**Additional assets**:

- Familiarity with EU policymaking and institutions is an advantage

- Strong communication skills for engagement with international colleagues and stakeholders

**Ideal Qualifications**

- Master’s degree in a relevant field

- Three or more years of experience in EU and UK policy research, consulting, or journalism
