Join AETHER to support Intrapreneurial Projects as a Safety Machinery Expert Consultant:
The scope of this intrapreneurial project is to lead and deploy safety machinery strategies within large industrial CAPEX projects.

The Key responsibilities expected from our consultant might include:
Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution, ensuring accuracy and meeting expectations:

- Analyze safety issues of the designated plant within the STF approach and set up the prioritization program
- Analyze the safety priority and propose problem-solving actions
- Define solutions with the Project Manager and the local team
- Write safety specifications
- Support the creation of internal Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) documents, combining ISO 12100 and ISO 13849 formats
- Prepare the hours forecast for each project and advise on LOI setup

Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines, providing objective analyses for decision-making:

- Participate in the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) assessment of the designated plant and ensure HIRA targets are defined
- Review and challenge risk assessments done by third parties
- Ensure all safety-in-design points are reviewed and implemented by the project team
- Participate in FAT and SAT to test and validate safety solutions
- Evaluate supplier-proposed modifications for EHS and CE compliance
- Monitor and verify CE compliance requirements during design and execution

Support projects by facilitating communication and reporting between stakeholders:

- Support the project team during execution
- Manage and liaise with the CE compliance third party throughout the project
- Coordinate for the final CE certificate
- Influence and recommend EHS solutions to the project team and suppliers
- Escalate issues in case of major disagreements
- Report on safety-task-force and safety-validation activities
- Support the Project Manager in integrating EHS topics from project inception
- Support the technical office and engineers by providing EHS expertise
- Support family leaders in procedure writing and train EE members
- Help handle work groups and train engineering/technical staff in safety validation, CE compliance, and technical EHS issues

The experience we are actively looking for:

- Engineering background with at least 3 years of experience in industrial environments
- Confirmed expertise in machine safety (CE compliance, HIRA, ISO 12100, ISO 13849, IEC 61508)
- Experience liaising with third parties
- Skilled in technical assistance and safety validation perocesses
- Ability to animate workgroups, influence without authority, and support EHS integration into design
- Excellent English communication skills
- Availability in Belgium and ready to start rapidly
