For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions. DIGIT.B.3. manages Trans-European Services, ensuring their harmonization, reuse, and efficiency across the European Commission and other bodies. It is responsible for Digital Trust Services, delivering the EU Sign solution and implementing IT components of the eIDAS regulation (eID, eSignature, Trusted Lists). The DISS sector within DIGIT.B.3. handles identity and access management through solutions like EU Login, EU Access, and EU Provisioning. There is a need to define and implement an additional governance layer for enhanced digital identity management.

Below are the details of your role and requirements.

**Your role**
- Design systems management solutions for an install base, more specifically:

- Design solutions for the secure deployment of operating systems to computers both on premise and via the cloud for remote workers;
- Design solutions for quickly and securely patching systems both on premise and via the cloud for remote workers;
- Make sure the solutions don’t overload the existing network infrastructure;
- Integrate end point security solutions on computers;
- IT Project management for Commission-wide workplace infrastructure projects
- Collaboration with other departments of the Commission

Who we think you are
- Scripting: Python, PL/SQL, SQL*plus, Perl, Shell Scripting
- Network protocols: TCP-IP, SCTP, DIAMETER, SIP, DNS and SMPP
- Linux administration proven experience
- Database administration (Oracle, MySQL, Elasticsearch)
- DevSecOps pipelines and configuration: Jenkins / Ansible, Gitlab
- Containerization (docker, containerd).
- Kubernetes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, to help develop creative and practical solutions;
- Strong experience with DATA integration, validation, operation and maintenance in multi-vendor Environments;
- Proven and strong experience of network protocols;
- String experience in DevSecOps processes and pipelines;
- Strong knowledge in containerization technics and processes;
- Proven experience with scripting languages and good knowledge of the Linux system;
- Good skills in functional and technical specifications and writing of documents;
- Experience in elaborating data/technological migration strategies;
- The ability to work in a proactive and independent manner, with a focus on priorities, communication and decision-making capacities;
- Good organization, coordination and planning skills - with a high degree of drive and desire to empower ICT change and evolution;
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable to audiences ranging from senior management to technology specialists
- Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms: Deep Dive Using Java, Sun, PMI;
- Knowledge in the domain of eID, eIDAS and protocols of authentication (OIDC, SAML, OAuth2.0, etc) would be required;
- Knowledge of certificate management and technology would be an advantage;
- Experience about mobile technologies and fixed DATA Services would be an advantage (GPRS/UMTS/LTE/VoLTE and VoWIFI) and Online Charging System.
