Legal & Compliance Associate

To support our business as efficiently and reliably in its multiple legal and regulatory aspects and to help our growing team of 42 professionals, Deminor is looking for a talented Legal Associate who will work with and under the supervision of our Group General Counsel & DPO with the delivery of the group legal framework across our 8 office locations.

Working closely with our Group General Counsel, you will be responsible for ensuring assistance to colleagues for the services offered to our clients and for ensuring the efficiency and fluidity of our various compliance policies and procedures. You will be assisting in the drafting and reviewing of commercial and funding contracts with our clients and partners and you will provide general legal and regulatory support as in-house counsel to the company.

Legal missions:

- Drafting and reviewing contracts concluded with commercial and operational partners and clients in an international context (e.g., litigation funding agreement), from the first draft until its execution.
- Drafting and updating general terms and conditions and other template agreements (e.g., NDA). Keeping registers for tracking signed agreements.
- Verifying legal standing of clients in funded cases, particularly in investment recovery and anti-trust cases. Assisting in obtaining public corporate and financial information, legalization assistance.
- Providing legal assistance to the team on an ad hoc basis (e.g. answering questions related to legal or regulatory matters).
- Corporate housekeeping of Deminor Group entities, UBO register updates
- Acting as the point of contact for relevant third parties such as: lawyers, notaries, bailiffs

Compliance:

- Acting as a point of contact for team members for KYC searches, ensuring processes are compliant with our group AML policy, providing updates of group policies and corporate profiles of clients, responding to KYC requests and training of team members.
- Ensuring the Company’s adherence to the GDPR framework which includes monitoring of data processing, security measures, data retention, intra-group agreements, policy updates and training of team members.
- Carrying out research of country-specific regulations relating to litigation/arbitration and third-party funding to protect our business interest. Where necessary, assisting in implementing new compliance rules.
- Being responsible for the Conflict checks process and register

**About you**:

- Experience in common and/or civil law environment (ideally both), with international exposure.
- Excellent command of English is essential. Additional languages are a plus.
