**Role: Data Governance Officer**
**Location:Zaventem**

**As a Data Governance Officer, you will**:

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business experts, legal professionals, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective data governance practices.
- Be responsible for defining and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Leverage your expertise to implement advanced data management tools, such as data catalogs, to enhance data discovery, data mining, and request management processes.
- Work closely with data experts to enrich the data catalog with valuable insights, ensuring it remains a comprehensive and reliable resource for the organization.
- Manage a data quality tool to monitor and improve the accuracy and reliability of the organization’s data assets.
- Champion data governance best practices by sharing knowledge and promoting a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Actively contribute to the construction and management of our data platform.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to provide valuable insights and recommendations for enhancing our data infrastructure while ensuring its scalability, security, and performance.
- Monitor and audit your designated data area to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with security, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements such as GDPR.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Affinity with Data & IT; a background in Economics, Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in data management with a focus on data governance.
- Knowledge of data architecture and SQL.
- Fluent in French (mandatory) and proficient in English to enable effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams.
- A client-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering value to stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex data challenges.
- A results-oriented approach with a track record of achieving objectives and driving continuous improvement.
- Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
