**Functieomschrijving**
Onze klant - een toonaangevend biotechbedrijf gespecialiseerd in biologische gewasbescherming en biostimulanten - zoekt een Senior Scientist Bioinsecticide die mee wil bouwen aan de landbouw van morgen. Als Senior Scientist maak je deel uit van het Bioinsecticide R&D-team en speel je een sleutelrol in het ontwikkelen van innovatieve, milieuvriendelijke oplossingen om gewassen te beschermen. Jouw dagen zijn gevuld met ontdekkingen, samenwerking en wetenschap die écht impact heeft.

**Functieomschrijving**

- Je ontwikkelt, beheert en optimaliseert bioinsecticide-screeningprogramma's, met focus op onderzoek en vroege productontwikkeling.
- Je werkt nauw samen met de programmaleider om activiteiten te plannen en prioriteiten te stellen.
- Je bouwt en verfijnt in vitro en in planta assays om nieuwe leads te identificeren en hun werking te begrijpen.
- Je analyseert resultaten, vertaalt laboratoriumbevindingen naar schaalbare oplossingen en waakt over de kwaliteit van elk experiment.
- Je neemt het voortouw in innovatie, verkent nieuwe technologieën en bouwt samenwerkingen op met onderzoeks
- en industriële partners.
- Je communiceert helder met collega's van R&D, productontwikkeling en marketing - want wetenschap leeft pas echt als ze gedeeld wordt

**Profiel**

- Een Master of PhD in moleculaire biologie (of aanverwant domein)
- Grondige kennis van insectenbiologie
- Ervaring met in vitro en in planta insectentesten
- Inzicht in de ontwikkeling van bio-insecticiden
- Een scherp analytisch vermogen en zin voor innovatie
- Vlotte communicatie in het Engels en een echte teamspirit
- Ervaring in de sector? Dan heb je een stevige voorsprong
