Associate Director, Clinical Trial User Account

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Associate Director, Clinical Trial User Account Management to be accountable for the oversight and management of user access and security, for systems and processes dedicated to supporting our internal and external clinical trial community. This position can be in Raritan, NJ; Titusville, NJ; Chesterbrook, PA; or Beerse, Belgium. Remote locations within the United States and Europe to be considered.
This position provides expertise in user account and access management for Clinical Trial Systems, in order to deliver support to Global Development as managed by the Enabling Business Information Solutions (EBIS) organization. The Associate Director is a member of the Shared Solutions team, working with EBIS and other functions across Global Development, supporting solutions, projects and tasks related to user management and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for defining a simplified security model and operational processes, to handle automated workflow for provisioning and deactivation of all users across the full landscape of clinical systems. User types for the systems in scope are J&J employees, contractors/flex/consultants, CRO users, Site users/HCPs, and also Patients.
- Implement a clear and concise user access review process that ensures compliance/security/privacy.
- Drive new and ongoing initiatives within the user management space to meet business needs (Project CAMP, Legends, MaSCoT).
- Own the support and expansion of Single Sign-On (SSO) Initiative, which is to provide Investigators/site staff a single username and password for access to key clinical trial systems with a central access point (portal). Oversight of any implemented SSO solution.
- Provide strong customer service and partnership on complex projects, working closely with business and technology partners to drive toward common goals and business needs, while also influencing a broad range of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ensure that all provided solutions are in compliance with internal and external regulations based on knowledge and experience within the validation, compliance, data security and data privacy areas
- Demonstrate technical background in order to lead with focus on developing integrated, automated and maintainable technical solutions with a focus on efficiency.
- Analyses and provides solutions to the Head of Shared Solutions to assist in the decision-making process as well as serves as a resource to Global Development for Clinical-Operations-supported systems.
- Remains current on specific expertise as well as related industry guidance and standard methodologies.
- Takes a Leadership role in process, system, and tool improvement initiatives within EBIS as well as participates in non-trial/non-program projects to gather information or provide expertise. Coordinates across all the EBIS systems owners and corresponding vendors (most of our systems are SaaS).
- Participates in vendor and contract management negotiation and oversight, including oversight of any solutions or 3rd parties handling operational aspects of user management
- Supports audit and inspections as appropriate.
- Mentors and guides more junior staff or Shared Solutions colleagues as appropriate.
**Qualifications**
**Education**:
- A minimum of a BA/BS degree is required
- An advanced degree (e.g. Master’s, etc.) is preferred
- Certification in project management/continuous improvement (Project Management (PM), Flawless Project Execution (FPX), GreenBelt) is preferred
Experience and Skills:
- A minimum of 8 years experience working as the liaison between systems and business is required
- Experience in user access management is required
- Relevant Pharmaceutical experience preferred
- Experience in team management is required
- Experience in program and project management is required
- Strong experience in optimization projects is preferred
- Experience in vendor specific solutions is required
- Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate and engage at all levels within the organization, shown leadership and influencing skills in a sophisticated, multi-cultural environment.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication skills in English is required
- Up to 10% of business travel may be required both internationally and domestically

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $129,500 to $194,000.
