Our organization is a real estate company, acting as long-term investor, developer, fund manager, and property manager. We continuously expand our portfolio, which also includes data centre (DC) projects.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Health and Safety Leadership:

- Provide leadership and strategic direction for all health and safety aspects of the CE scope.
- Lead the H&S strategy to ensure the highest standards over our CE portfolio.
- Promote and lead a safety-first culture across all stakeholder, ensuring adherence to company and our client’s safety standards.

Stakeholder Management:

- Engage with customer to understand their EHSS expectations and requirements, ensuring these are integrated into project plans and execution.
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with customers, regularly communicating EHSS updates, metrics, milestones, key decisions and improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate contractors.

Team Collaboration and Communication:

- Communicate the client’s needs to the operational teams and motivate them to achieve the highest standards.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels and a transparent escalation procedure for H&S matters.

Process improvement and execution oversight:

- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate EHSS considerations in all life-cycle processes, including design development, procurement, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover, stabilised asset management, and deconstruction.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments, in collaboration with local inhouse safety experts, and the correct implementation and effectiveness thereof.

Reporting:

- Coordinating and streamlining the reporting process.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Health and Safety management role, preferably including experience in the construction of data centers and/or other critical infrastructure (e.g. power plants, chemical production plants).
- Proven track record of implementing and managing EHSS strategies on large-scale, technically complex projects.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, communication and commercial skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety certifications.
