Job Title: Senior Data Scientist Job Type: Freelance Location: Brussels, BelgiumWork regime: Hybrid Keywords: Python, R, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, MySQL, and Java About the RoleWe're looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can turn complex banking data into smarter decisions, predictive models, and AI-driven experiences. You'll design and train ML models, explore new technologies, and shape end-to-end data products together with product, marketing, operations, and IT teams.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, train, and deploy Machine Learning models for fraud detection, segmentation, credit scoring, and customer analytics.Extract insights from large datasets and present them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Explore new data sources, techniques, and methodologies to improve analytics.Design ETL workflows, handle data cleaning, and ensure data quality.Collaborate with product, marketing, risk, operations, IT, and finance teams.Bonus: Support Power BI dashboards and data storytelling.Requirements5+ years of experience in Data Science.Strong knowledge of Python, R, SQL, and Java.Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Wherescape.Understanding of Hadoop, Spark, and big-data environments.Proficiency in statistical analysis, forecasting, hypothesis testing, and quantitative analytics.Experience building models for fraud, risk, scoring, segmentation, and churn prediction.Knowledge of banking operations, financial products, and regulations (Basel III, GDPR).Familiar with Git and version control.Strong communication skills with non-technical audiences.Commitment to continuous learning and ethical AI practices.A little about us: Innova Solutions is a diverse and award-winning global technology services partner.
