Solution IT Architect Location: Nearby Brussels - (up to 3 days remote)Language: EnglishContract: Freelance (6-12 months)Help steer a major transformation from legacy systems to a modern Microsoft-based collaboration ecosystem for a brand-new RMS platform launching in 2026.What You'll DoOwn the architecture within the New Digital Workplace product team (Teams, SharePoint Online, custom .NET/React apps in Azure).Design solutions aligned with enterprise standards and guide their implementation across the build & run teams.Present and defend proposals in architectural governance (PAT), securing approvals and setting clear directions.Work closely with business architects, analysts, devs, and PMs in a collaborative, supportive environment.Must-Haves5+ years of experience as an IT/Application Architect in large organizations.Strong expertise with Microsoft collaboration tools (Teams/SharePoint) and Azure-based custom development ecosystems (.NET, React, SQL, Functions, App Services).Solid integration architecture skills.Strong communicator: structured, proactive, assertive — able to push direction when needed.Excellent stakeholder management & organizational skills.English fluency (NL/FR is a plus).Nice-to-HavesBackground as a system engineer or Microsoft analyst.Familiarity with Azure architecture patterns.Experience presenting in governance boards.RMS knowledge (not required — niche training provided).Why Join UsPlay a key role in a multi-year digital transformation moving from legacy in-house solutions to a modern workplace.Big impact: migrate a massive archive system into a structured, future-proof RMS ecosystem.Collaborative team culture with strong support but room for ownership, direction-setting, and "grinta."Hybrid working: 3 days remote.
