Technical Service Engineer
Antwerp Area, Belgium | Hybrid | Permanent
Are you an experienced Field Service or Maintenance Engineer looking to stay highly technical while reducing the amount of time you spend travelling?
We're supporting a global equipment manufacturer expanding its technical service team in the Antwerp area. You'll use your hands-on engineering experience to support Field Service Engineers and customers worldwide, solving complex machinery problems from a predominantly site-based position.
The Role
- Provide remote technical troubleshooting to Field Service Engineers and customers.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electromechanical problems.
- Identify technical solutions and appropriate spare parts.
- Review technical drawings, schematics and equipment documentation.
- Support equipment upgrades and modifications.
- Help resolve complex and recurring equipment issues.
- Work closely with engineering, service and commercial teams internationally.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on mechanical or electromechanical experience.
- Experience with industrial machinery, production equipment or automated systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and schematics.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Automation knowledge would be advantageous.
- PLC or SCADA experience is a plus.
This could be an excellent next step for a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer who wants to retain the technical challenge while moving into a more stable, locally based role.
