Working closely with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders, you will transform raw data into reliable, high-value datasets.You will take ownership of data pipelines and processing frameworks, applying best practices in cloud engineering, automation, and data quality to ensure scalable and resilient solutions.Your Experience & Skill SetRequired Skills and QualificationsEducation: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable fieldLanguages: Professional fluency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering rolesAzure Platform: Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse or similar servicesAzure Databricks: Extensive hands-on experience developing data pipelines and analytics workloads in DatabricksSpark / PySpark: Proven expertise in distributed data processing using SparkSQL: Advanced SQL skills, including performance tuning and working with large-scale datasetsData Reliability: Experience implementing data validation, monitoring, and quality controlsSoft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in client-facing, cross-functional teamsLocation Flexibility: Willingness to travel on-site within 1h of Brussels when requiredPreferred SkillsExperience with Power BI or similar reporting toolsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data platformsExposure to streaming or event-driven architectures (e.g. Event Hubs, Kafka)Experience working in multi-cloud environmentsMicrosoft Azure or Databricks certificationsWhat You'll DoSolution Design & DeliveryTranslate business requirements into scalable Azure dataBuild, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks and SparkEnsure data pipelines are reliable, secure, and optimized for performancePlatform & Data EngineeringDesign analytical data models supporting reporting and advanced analyticsIntegrate structured and semi-structured data from multiple sourcesApply best practices for data governance, monitoring, and cost controlInnovation & ImprovementContinuously evaluate new Azure and Databricks features to improve platform efficiencyContribute to internal best practices and technical standards within ExsolvæTeam & Project CollaborationWork alongside data scientists, engineers, and architects to deliver end-to-end solutionsSupport project delivery from initial design through production rolloutWhy Join Us?Be Part of the Solver Community: Join a team where collaboration, curiosity, and problem-solving are at the heart of everything we do.
