Our flagship product, ZINGA, was developed in the 1970s in collaboration with Ghent University to protect iron structures from corrosion. Since then, ZINGA has been utilized across a wide range of global projects in various industries. ZINGA is a high-quality niche product sold in 110 different countries. To strengthen their team, they are currently looking for a R&D Assistant.Job description:As a member of our technical team, your responsibilities will include:Application & Research: Applying coating systems to test plates for a variety of projects, ranging from custom client requests to internal R&D initiatives.Quality Control: Performing technical tests and conducting the necessary quality control inspections.Lab Maintenance: Ensuring the laboratory and testing equipment are kept clean, organized, and well-maintained.Analysis & Reporting: As you grow in the role, you will analyze test results and report your findings to the team.Administration: Managing the required administrative follow-up to ensure all data and processes are accurately documented.ProfileYou hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or have equivalent experience (maximum 5 years). You have experience working in a lab environment or hold a degree in a technical field, preferably specializing in coatings/industrial painting or chemistry.You enjoy a balanced workflow, alternating between administrative tasks and practical work on a 50/50 basis.Languages: Given the company's international context, strong language skills are essential.
