This is a fully remote role based in Switzerland, offering the opportunity to influence global programs while enjoying the flexibility of a modern, distributed environment.The OpportunityAs Director of Biostatistics, you will serve as a key scientific partner across clinical development, regulatory strategy, and cross‐functional program leadership. You will guide statistical strategy from early development through registration and lifecycle management, ensuring robust, compliant, and innovative approaches to data generation and evidence delivery.This role is ideal for a senior biostatistician who thrives in a matrixed, fast‐moving environment and enjoys shaping strategy as much as driving operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead statistical strategy for clinical programs across multiple therapeutic areas.Serve as statistical expert on global project teams, partnering closely with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Data Management, and Medical Writing.Oversee design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trials (Phase I–IV), including adaptive and innovative designs.Ensure statistical deliverables meet global regulatory standards (FDA, EMA, Swissmedic, PMDA).Provide leadership and mentorship to internal statisticians and external CRO partners.Represent Biostatistics in regulatory interactions, advisory boards, and cross‐functional governance forums.Drive continuous improvement in statistical methodologies, data quality, and evidence generation frameworks.Contribute to strategic planning, portfolio decision‐making, and risk–benefit assessments.Qualifications & ExperiencePhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.10+ years of biostatistics experience in the biopharma industry, including leadership of global clinical programs.Proven expertise in clinical trial design, statistical modeling, and regulatory submissions.Strong understanding of ICH guidelines, GCP, and global regulatory expectations.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and manage CRO partnerships.Proficiency in SAS and/or R; experience with modern statistical tools and data science approaches is a plus.Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex statistical concepts for diverse audiences.Based in Switzerland with eligibility to work remotely.What's on OfferA strategic leadership role with global impact.Remote‐first flexibility within Switzerland.Opportunity to shape statistical innovation across a diverse development portfolio.Collaborative, mission‐driven culture committed to scientific excellence and patient impact.Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.About Planet Pharma:Planet Pharma is an American parented Employment Business/Agency that provides global staffing services with its head-quarters in Chicago and our EMEA regional office located in Central London.
