We are looking for a System Engineer with a focus on simulation and algorithm to join a dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of advanced systems used in both civilian and military environments. You'll work closely with clients and stakeholders to define solutions and see them through to successful implementation.SII is a European digital and engineering services company of 16,000 experts. SII is committed to a sustainable digital world and is recognized as a Great Place To Work.Key Responsibilities:Understand and analyze client needs to propose tailored technical solutions;Contribute to the system architecture definition and ensure it meets customer requirements;Evaluate algorithm performance through analytical techniques and simulations.Conduct validation and verification (V&V) activities for both new and updated algorithm designs.Support the integration of algorithms into hardware platforms via code generation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.Optimize auto-generated C code and collaborate with embedded systems teams for seamless integration into devices.Contribute to field trials and analyze flight test data for performance assessment and system refinement.Model physical behaviors of novel concepts and perform simulations to guide development and inform key technical decisions.Qualification:Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data or related field)At least 3/5 years of professional experienceStrong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis, comfortable with complex systems and large datasets.Analytical and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to problem-solving.Proficient in Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Python, and version control with Git.Familiar with real-time algorithm implementation on embedded systems.Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for staying updated on new technologies;Ability to work independently and proactively while being an effective team player;Clear communicator, able to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.Fluency in English (B2 or higher); knowledge of French is a plusCompany Culture:SII Belgium offers a warm, open and empowering company culture, supported by an international group.
