Title: Finance Officer – TechOpsCompany: Global BiotechLocation: Hybrid – Ghent, Belgium (minimum 2–3 days per week on-site)Type: 2-year contract – Full-timeHours: 40 hours per weekMain ResponsibilitiesSupport the TechOps (CMC) team with operational financial controlMaintain and update the TechOps financial plan and translate activities into ERP budget linesCreate and manage purchase orders (POs) and ensure accurate system dataSupport budget control activities, including variance analysis and month-end reviewsResolve invoice queries in collaboration with the Finance teamDevelop tools and reports to improve budget visibility and controlAct as a finance partner to internal stakeholders, supporting budget discussions and progress trackingMain RequirementsDegree in Finance, Business Economics, or similar (e.g. Corporate Finance)2–5 years' experience in roles such as Finance Officer, GL Accountant, or Financial ControllerStrong budget control, financial planning, and variance analysis skillsExperience using Oracle (mandatory); Power BI / Power Query is an advantageSolid bookkeeping fundamentals and strong Excel skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to challenge numbers and drive improvementsHighly organised, structured, and proactive; interest in science or technical environmentsInterested?
