We're currently supporting a leading mechanical engineering contractor that is expanding its project delivery team across Mainland Europe and is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.Location: Belgium Engagement: Permanent or Contract (flexible)Salary / Rate: Negotiable, depending on experienceThe RoleAs Mechanical Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of project delivery on site, leading teams, managing subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.You'll be heavily involved from construction planning through execution and closeout, working closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers, Engineers, QS teams, and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day ownership of Health & Safety on siteLead and manage site teams (Construction Managers, Engineers, Supervisors)Develop construction execution plans, schedules, and subcontract scopesOversee mechanical construction activities including piping fabrication, installation, testing, and equipment installationManage subcontractor performance across cost, quality, safety, and scheduleCoordinate prefabrication and workshop activitiesProduce clear weekly/monthly progress reports for clientsDrive cost control, variations, and commercial discussionsEnsure QA/QC compliance with client and industry standardsWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 5+ years as a Senior Mechanical / Project EngineerStrong background in mechanical construction (not design-led roles)Experience in sectors such as Pharma, Biotech, Semiconductor, or Oil & GasBackground working for a mechanical contractor (strong advantage)Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Construction (or equivalent)EU Passport / RTW in Belgium What's on OfferCompetitive salary or contract ratesRotationAccommodation
