MissionAs a Data Transmission Network Engineer, you will ensure the continuous and reliable operation of communication platforms by monitoring networks, resolving incidents, coordinating maintenance, and supporting internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and ensure the correct functioning of all Datacom platforms (LAN/WAN, telecom and transmission systems).Detect, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents and problems.Escalate complex issues to network architects, product owners, or external partners when needed.Coordinate and follow up on planned and unplanned maintenance activities.Communicate with stakeholders during incidents, changes, and planned works.Provide operational support to other teams and external parties.Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational records.Execute administrative and quality-related tasks for Datacom platforms.Actively contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.Technical EnvironmentLAN/WAN and enterprise networksTransmission and telecom technologies: SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS, VoIPNetwork monitoring and management systemsTicketing, documentation, and SLA/KPI toolsProfile & RequirementsPractical operational knowledge of modern networks: LAN/WAN, SDH, DWDM, IP/MPLS, VoIPExperience in a NOC, helpdesk, or network operations role is a strong asset.Fluent in Dutch or French, with good knowledge of the other language.Good working knowledge of English (mandatory).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Able to work independently, methodically, and under pressure.Strong sense of responsibility, urgency, and service mindset.Flexible and stress-resistant in a 24/7 operational context.
