For our customer we are looking for a Senior Network & security Engineer on a 6 month extendable contract. 1 day per week in Brussels, 4 days WFH. Dutch speaking is a mustStart Date: AsapDuration: 6 months+Location: BrusselLanguages: NL & ENGRemote Politics: 1 day per week on site, 4 days wfhAbout the assignmentFor our client in Brussels, we are looking for a Network & Security Consultant with strong technical expertise in data center networks and security. You will become part of the Network & Security Team and will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and optimizing the network and security landscape.This consultancy assignment offers you the opportunity to further deepen your technical skills in a challenging environment, within a framework contract from Cegeka.ResponsibilitiesPerforming operational support and solving complex network and security problems.Supporting projects where networking expertise is necessary.Managing and maintaining network components, such as: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and virtualization platforms.Analysis of technical issues, identification of causes and implementation of solutions, including critical incidents.Drafting and maintaining technical documentation, procedures and instructions.Collaborate with colleagues and customer teams to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.Qualifications:Minimum of 4 years of experience in data center and network management, including:Switching & Routing (Cisco Data Center, ACI)Firewalling & VPN (Palo Alto)Load BalancingVirtualization and Network Virtualization (VMware NSX)Experience with multi-vendor network environments.Strong problem-solving skills and experience with high-priority incident management.Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring tools, and network automation is a plus.Training and certificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Networking, or equivalent through relevant experience.CCNP certificate is mandatory, PCNSE and CCNP Data Center ACI are a strong added value.Soft skillsFluent in Dutch and English.Team player, customer-oriented and communicatively strong.Independent and proactive in finding solutions.Analytically strong and eager to learn to grow in network and security technologies.
