KU Leuven Research & Development (LRD) ondersteunt onderzoekers bij het omzetten van ideeën in impactvolle producten en diensten.Met een team van 150 professionals realiseren we jaarlijks meer dan 3.000 onderzoekssamenwerkingscontracten, beheren we een portefeuille van 800 octrooifamilies en hebben we al meer dan 190 spin-offbedrijven opgericht.Ter versterking van onze directie zoeken we een operationeel directeur.Functieomschrijving Als operationeel directeur werk je nauw samen met de algemeen directeur en neem je een leidende rol op in de interne organisatie en procesoptimalisatie. Je coördineert en optimaliseert de interacties tussen diverse domeinen (onderzoekssamenwerking, intellectuele eigendom, spin-offcreatie, regionale ontwikkeling, ondernemerschap), in overleg met de afdelingshoofden;Je initieert en begeleidt verbeteringen en optimalisaties waar nodig, met oog voor digitalisering en kwaliteit;Je rapporteert rechtstreeks aan de algemeen directeur en werkt nauw samen met de leiding van de verschillende diensten.We zoeken een gedreven persoonlijkheid met bewezen leiderschapservaring, die energie haalt uit het verbinden van mensen en het aansturen van diverse teams.Je beschikt over een masterdiploma of gelijkwaardig door relevante ervaring;Je hebt een bewezen staat van dienst in management, met sterke affiniteit met onderzoekssamenwerking, inclusief spinoffcreatie en regionale ontwikkeling, verworven in het bedrijfsleven of in technologietransfer;Je communiceert transparant en overtuigend en drukt je vlot uit in het Nederlands en het Engels.Je bent resultaatgericht en pragmatisch, met oog voor samenwerking en de ontwikkeling van medewerkers.
