You are an experienced DSP Engineer with a proven track record in mmWave product development. The successful candidate will design and validate signal processing solutions that translate into measured performance on mmWave systems. The work spans Python/MATLAB modeling, FPGA-based prototyping for early proof, and lab correlation on reference and prototype platforms. The role values strong expertise in radar and wireless DSP (ideally both).ResponsibilitiesThe DSP Engineer will take full ownership of all DSP work items, from concept to verification measurements. Responsibilities include:Develop, simulate, and evaluate DSP algorithms for mmWave systems in Python/MATLAB, including the creation of reproducible test benches and "golden" reference models.Translate algorithm concepts into FPGA-based prototypes for early validation.Define and execute verification plans that correlate simulation results with FPGA outputs and lab measurements.Perform hands-on lab bring-up and debugging on reference and prototype platforms and iterate based on measurement findings.Contribute to DSP architecture discussions by assessing practical impacts of non-idealities and proposing mitigation/calibration approaches.Support the integration of DSP flows into system software/tooling, ensuring repeatability across builds and test sessions.Document algorithms, assumptions, test methods, and results clearly.Requirementsextensive industrial experience leveraged to build best-in-class high-volume products. MSc qualification (or equivalent proven experience) in a relevant field. At least 5 years of hands-on DSP algorithm development experience using Python and MATLAB.Experience taking DSP from model to hardware proof, including FPGA prototyping and lab-based verification/correlation.Familiarity with C and microcontrollers.Demonstrated experience with complex real-world non-idealities and calibration/mitigation in measured systems.A strong background in either radar DSP or wireless communications.Ability to work effectively in a large, cross-functional and international environment, providing clear communication and structured documentation.Evidence of efficient, repeatable engineering practices.Following qualifications will make you stand out: Ph.D. qualification in a relevant field.Strong background in both radar and wireless communications.Experience or knowledge of joint sensing and communications; or demonstrated work at the radar-comms intersection.Pharrics develops advanced chip and antenna technology for high-frequency wireless applications.
