We are hiring a Tradeshow EngineerRole overview Tradeshow engineerThe Tradeshow Engineer is an integral member of the Tradeshow Team and helps with the execution of all major events, trade shows, and permanent experience centers across the EMEA region.This role is centered on both meticulous preparation and expert on-site execution.All setups, including complex systems for exhibition stands and experience centers, are designed, configured, and programmed at our Belgian headquarters.You will travel to the event locations throughout EMEA, to execute the professional installation, commissioning, and subsequent de-installation (break-down) of all technical systems and exhibition setups.Your essential tasks?Crestron Programming: Developing, loading, configuring and troubleshooting custom programs using Crestron-specific languages (like Crestron SIMPL) and platforms (Crestron Home, Crestron Construct). This could include integration with 3rd party devices like lighting (DALI, DMX), climate control (BACNET), display control etc.In-house testing: All setups need to be fully tested and configured before we pack and ship them to the event venue to avoid any problems on-site.Logistics: Prepare, pick and ship the products that will be sent out to events + follow up the transported goods.On-site installation and troubleshooting: On the show floor, you will need to install the equipment (on walls or behind the booth structure), connect and test everything, making sure everything is fully operational and working by the time the show opens.Product Demonstration and Technical Sales Support: On some occasions, you will be acting as a subject matter expert during an event/show, demonstrating Crestron solutions to potential customers and partners and answering technical questions.Booth construction: On smaller events, the tradeshow team is also responsible to build the stand using a modular system.Stock management: To support all these events, we have a large amount of stock that we also need to track and manage with a dedicated platform we use.Learning: The AV world is rapidly evolving and so is our technology. At Tradeshow you will always have to be up to speed with the latest and greatest technology we have. We have our own training center that can help with that, but we also have regular online trainings and monthly webinars to keep you up to date.Travelling: The events are spread throughout the EMEA regions, so you will be travelling often. On average this will be around 40 days a year of which some days will be in the weekend. This could be with other team members but also alone.Which skills are we looking for in the person to complement our team?Technical Aptitude & Knowledge: Networking: Demonstrated proficiency in general network fundamentals and configurations. A/V Control Systems: Prior experience with Crestron products is highly advantageous. Programming Skills (Preferred): Familiarity with HTML5 and general programming concepts would be a significant asset to the team. A strong, inherent passion for electronics and cutting-edge technology.Teamplayer with a "can-do" and "hands-on" attitudeStrong verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch are a must given the EMEA scope of the roleYour energy and proactivity will lift up your daily workEager to keep learning in this rapidly evolving A/V worldOrganizational SkillsFlexibility & Travel: you will approximately spent 20% of your time travelling across the EMEA region which will also include weekends (as dictated by the events calendar)What do we offer?A dynamic and enthusiastic working environment with a warm and open cultureFulltime contractAt Crestron we take care of our employees.
