We're hiring: BI Data Engineer | Brussels | Hybrid
Are you passionate about turning complex data into scalable, reliable and actionable solutions?
We are looking for an experienced BI Data Engineer to join a large-scale international technology environment in Brussels.
What you'll be working on
Design and develop Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Lakes & Data Lakehouses
Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration workflows
Develop scalable data models, dashboards, KPIs and self-service BI solutions
Work with near-real-time ingestion and Change Data Capture (CDC)
Contribute to cloud, on-premises and hybrid data architectures
Improve performance through SQL/query optimization, indexing and partitioning
Implement data quality, lineage, governance, observability and GDPR-compliant practices
Support automated testing and deployments through CI/CD
Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts and business stakeholders
What we're looking for
- Strong SQL and relational database expertise
- Experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing & dimensional modelling
- Experience with Data Lake / Data Lakehouse architectures
- Strong ETL/ELT and data integration experience
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Qlik
- Knowledge of tools such as Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica or Talend
- Experience with cloud data platforms
- Understanding of data governance, lineage and data quality
- Excellent English communication skills
- French is a plus
Relevant Microsoft, Azure, AWS or BI/Data Engineering certifications are a strong advantage.
