Product Development Engineer Kortrijk Region, Belgium | Full-timeMy client is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer to strengthen its product innovation and design capabilities. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys taking products from concept through to industrialisation and has a strong background in mechanical design and development.Your RoleAs a Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the end-to-end development of new products and the continuous improvement of existing ones. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and contribute to the design and development of new products from concept to productionCreate detailed 3D models and technical drawings, primarily using SolidWorksTranslate customer and market requirements into robust, manufacturable designsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure design feasibility, cost efficiency, and qualitySupport prototyping, testing, validation, and industrialization activitiesDrive design improvements based on performance, manufacturability, and feedback from productionDocument designs and ensure compliance with relevant standards and internal processesYour Profile8–10 years of experience in product development and mechanical designStrong hands-on experience with SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools)Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materialsExperience taking products through the full development lifecycleProactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindsetAble to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environmentLanguagesDutch is preferredEnglish proficiency is required (spoken and written)What's on OfferA challenging and impactful role within a technically driven environmentThe opportunity to work on innovative products with real market impactCompetitive compensation package aligned with experienceA collaborative culture with room for professional growth
