Vulcain Engineering Belgium is looking for a Medior Piping Engineer to join its consulting team in Ghent and its surroundings.As consultant, you will support one of our client in the industry and support process-related projects. Not only will you work on diversified and challenging topics, but we will also support your growth and development through a specific follow-up from one of our Business Manager and the possibility to benefit from specific trainings related to your career objectives.For this first mission, you will act as a piping engineer supporting a project in the food industry.ABOUT THE POSITION:Oversee the installation of piping systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and industry hygiene standards.Review and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, layout drawings, and technical specifications; coordinate with design teams to ensure constructability.Ensure piping systems comply with sanitary design standards for food industry applications (e.g., CIP/SIP systems, stainless steel piping, weld quality, slope requirements).Work closely with external contractors, fabricators, and vendors to ensure proper installation and integration of piping systems.Monitor project budgets, resources, and schedules; identify and resolve issues that could impact timelines or costs.Enforce company safety protocols and ensure all work meets regulatory and food safety standards.Maintain project records including progress reports, inspection logs, and as-built documentation.ABOUT YOU:Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.5+ years of relevant experience in piping design and installation, preferably in the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industries.Strong understanding of hygienic piping systems and industry standardsExperience managing on-site construction or installation projects.Fluent in Dutch and EnglishABOUT USVulcain Engineering is a group specialized in the energy sector that supports companies active in Renewable & Nuclear Energy, Gas & Infrastructure through our Study Offices and Consultancy services.
