Data Engineer Databricks – Brussels
Implement, design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Manage data ingestion from various sources
- Implement and optimize ETL processes
- Ensure data quality, integrity and security across pipelines
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance
- Document processes, technical specs and best practices
- Transfer knowledge to the team that will take over running the platform
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL/Python, 4 years with Databricks, and 2 years in Data Warehousing
Required Skills
- Strong SQL and Python skills, comfortable on Data Warehouse / Lakehouse projects
- Proven hands-on experience with Databricks and the AWS ecosystem
- Analytical mindset, detail-oriented
- Good communicator, able to collaborate with both the project team and the run team
Preferred Skills
- Languages: fluent in French or Dutch, plus a good level of English
