Technical CAD Draftsperson – Facility

As part of the reinforcement of the Facility team of one of our clients operating in the medical device industry, VIQI is looking for a Technical CAD Draftsperson for a 6-month assignment in the Leuven area, with the possibility of extension.

You will join a technical and industrial environment where your main objective will be to create, update and maintain accurate as-built drawings of buildings and their technical installations.

Your responsibilities

• Create and update 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Perform on-site surveys and translate existing installations into accurate as-built drawings
• Work across various building systems, including HVAC, electrical installations, utilities, sanitary systems and data/communication networks
• Ensure the quality and consistency of drawings, including scales, layers, symbols, references and revision status
• Consolidate existing drawings and integrate information from projects, suppliers and contractors
• Maintain a clear and structured approach to CAD documentation, file management and revisions
• Collaborate closely with Facility, Maintenance, Engineering and IT teams, as well as external engineering partners and contractors

Your profile

• Technical background in Construction, Electromechanics, HVAC, Electricity, Technical Drafting, or equivalent through relevant experience
• Previous experience in technical drafting/CAD within a building, facility, engineering or industrial environment
• Strong command of 2D AutoCAD
• Good understanding of building systems and utilities, such as HVAC and electrical installations
• Comfortable carrying out field surveys and translating technical information into accurate drawings
• Familiar with drawing standards, revision management and document control
• Knowledge of Revit is considered an asset
• You are autonomous, structured and detail-oriented, with good communication skills

• Mainly on-site, with very limited remote work
• Dutch & English required
