Can you close a balance sheet without a big team standing behind you? Can you put an actual number on what a fund is worth, not just what it costs to run? And are you done proving yourself in roles that don't match your ambition? This one is for the dreamers who are ready to actually excel, not just get by.
Our partner is an international investment fund backing early-stage, high-growth companies across multiple sectors and regions, with a lean team of around 30 people based in Brussels. The finance function is compact and operational, with direct exposure to how the fund itself is managed and valued, not just how the office runs. You work closely with leadership and play a central role in the fund's financial infrastructure.
Your impact as the Finance Manager
- Owning investor reporting end to end
- Driving the budgeting process, revenue forecasts and financial planning across the group
- Coordinating annual audits and external accountants, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Managing the closing processes, including consolidation of group accounts and balance sheet oversight
- Maintaining oversight of multiple entities and the broader portfolio, keeping the numbers behind each one clean and current
You bring an operator's mindset to a room full of investors, and you'd rather automate a manual process than repeat it for the tenth time.
Your profile as the Finance Manager
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; an MBA or a Vlerick background is a plus
- 6 to 12 years of experience in finance, with a progressive and diversified career path
- Fluent in English, Dutch is a strong plus
- Hands-on and operational, comfortable owning the full scope from balance sheet to fund valuation
THE OFFER
- Salary up to €112,000/year, depending on experience
- Net expense allowance, €300/month
- Company car or mobility budget
- Meal vouchers, €8/day
- Group and health insurance
- 32 holidays
- Flexible working hours
- Up to 3 days of home office per week
- MacBook and iPhone with subscription
- Office genuinely designed to be enjoyed, not just worked from
- Working within an international investment fund with real global reach and portfolio impact
- The kind of role that genuinely takes your career to the next level, not just your job title
