Information Security Officer (payroll)Are you ready to take ownership of information security within an organization that's reshaping its digital future? Our client, a respected player in the financial services sector, is seeking an Information Security Officer who can translate strategy into tangible action and ensure that security remains a cornerstone of their operations.The RoleAs Information Security Officer, you'll design, implement, and continuously refine the organization's Information Security Management Framework.Your mission: protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets in full compliance with European standards such as DORA and GDPR, while aligning with internal group policies.Your ResponsibilitiesLead the ISO Office and collaborate closely with IT, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders.Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors and regulators.Develop and maintain information security policies aligned with Belgian and EU regulations.Promote a strong security culture through targeted training and awareness initiatives.Conduct risk assessments, oversee vulnerability management, and ensure continuous compliance with internal and external standards.Lead the incident response framework and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.Monitor and report on control effectiveness, risks, and incidents to senior management.Contribute to the organization's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning to ensure resilience across operations.Your ProfileBachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Cyber security, or equivalent experience.Solid knowledge of ISO/IEC 2700x standards, DORA, GDPR, and data protection principles.Experience with internal audits and regulatory interactions.Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French.Autonomous yet collaborative mindset.Clear communicator with sound judgement and discretion.Structured, detail-oriented, and reliable under pressure.What's On OfferA role that combines strategic impact with operational depth within a financially solid, people-oriented organization investing heavily in modernization.You can expect:A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (insurance, bonus plan, mobility options, vouchers, remote-work allowance).Hybrid working model (up to 3 days/week from home).34 vacation days.Modern offices in central Brussels, easily accessible by public transport.A culture built on trust, authenticity, and continuous growth.Want to know more?
