Business Analyst Consultant

Mission Overview:

This is a consultancy mission at a client site, where you will represent Keystone Solutions as a Business Analyst within the Transformation Office. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will be hired to work on client projects, bringing your expertise and our values to every engagement.

Mission Context:

Within the Risk & Credits tribe, the risk cluster is responsible for setting up the risk data and calculation infrastructure, including the development and maintenance of a central credit pricing calculator. This calculator enables front-end applications to offer interest rates to customers, collect necessary input data per product type, coordinate the calculation of interest rates, and combine information from various sources to determine the final rate. The objective is to build a single pricing calculator for all credit products and customer segments, supporting a common risk-based pricing methodology, compliance with legislation, and cost reduction through simplification and reuse.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements from end users and the Risk department into detailed specifications.
• Perform functional analysis to convert business requirements into system requirements.
• Conduct technical analysis to translate business requirements into pseudo-code.
• Develop SQL queries (Sybase IQ) for report development.
• Use SQL queries (SQL Server, Oracle) for testing and analysis purposes.

Language Requirements:

• Dutch: Fluent/good in speaking and understanding, basic/good in writing (required at least for either Dutch or French).
• French: Fluent/good in speaking and understanding, basic/good in writing (required at least for either Dutch or French).
• English: Fluent in writing, good in speaking and understanding.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate or college (university) degree preferred.
• Good math skills and comfort with simple to medium complexity mathematical notation.
• Focus on mathematics in education or professional experience.
• 4 to 5 years of experience in functional analysis and development.
• Experience as an analyst in large-scale IT development.
• Expertise in data/process analysis, requirements documentation, and testing.

Technical Experience:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Medium to expert knowledge of standard MS tools and technologies: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
• Thorough SQL experience.
• Functional and technical analysis skills.
• Testing capabilities.
• Preferable: experience with development on distributed technologies (Java, PostgreSQL), software integration projects, and process & change management.

Business Experience:

• Mandatory: experience working in a large company or complex business environment.
• Preferable: credit/credit risk knowledge (Basel II, etc.), economics and/or mathematics background, knowledge of large financial environments (business or IT).
