About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior UX Designer for a high-impact, freelance assignment with our client in Brussels. This is a 4-month, partially remote opportunity for a builder who thrives on shaping digital experiences that matter. You’ll be at the heart of product evolution, ensuring every interface is intuitive, accessible, and future-ready. What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and refine user interfaces for web and mobile applications, prioritizing usability and accessibility.
• Lead the maintenance, development, and evolution of the design system—ensuring components, patterns, and guidelines are consistent, accessible, and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user needs and define application requirements.
• Plan and execute user research using interviews, surveys, focus groups, and user testing to gather actionable insights.
• Design both low- and high-fidelity prototypes, with a mobile-first approach, to validate concepts and solutions.
• Support analysts and developers in translating user requirements into effective, accessible interfaces.
• Ensure all graphic designs comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
• Actively contribute to the ongoing improvement and documentation of the design system.
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a UX Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful, user-centered design solutions.
• Ownership mindset: you take initiative, drive outcomes, and are passionate about building products that make a difference.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into elegant, practical solutions.
• Experience designing, managing, and evolving design systems in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to accessibility and inclusive design principles.

• Axure (confirmed proficiency)
• Conceptboard (confirmed proficiency)
• Figma (confirmed proficiency)
• Mentimeter (confirmed proficiency)
• WCAG 2.1 (confirmed proficiency)

Language Proficiency

• Bilingual: Fluent in both French and Dutch (required)

Other Requirements

• Portfolio submission is mandatory; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Partial remote work is available; on-site presence in Brussels required as per project needs.
• Experience working in agile, collaborative teams is a plus.
