The Project Expert – Process and Quality will support us in providing quality of our products, reliability to our delivery schedules and improved cost efficiency of OEM projects.
To strengthen our growing business of Low Pressure blowers & compressors in the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) market we are establishing an engineering team to focus on design review, quality process and calculation support.
OEM customers mainly in the Petrochemical and Marine business require highly specified compressors operating in harsh environment.
You will work together with the OEM engineering team and colleagues in OEM team in Wuxi as well as standard engineering, production flow team and service. In these projects, we are in direct contact with the customer center and customers to define the scope of the product and guide the customer to the best solution.

You will report to the Team Leader Low Pressure OEM Process.

Role
•   Machine selection and performance data calculation to prepare proposals.
•   Cross check machine calculations: safety valves, coupling selection, pressure vessels, tolerance analysis.
•   Lead standardization of OEM options to be introduced on standard production line.
•   Initiate cost reductions through improved design, alternative suppliers and standardization.
•   Support competence development of the OEM engineering team.
•   Introduce and safeguard design standards and concepts.
•   Assist in problem solving in case of commissioning problems.
•   Review proposal according to customer/end user RFQ requirements and specifications.
•   Develop and coordinate design of OEM units and options.
•   Initiate and follow-up corrective actions, perform root cause analysis on design errors.
•   Support of and co-engineering with OEM team in Wuxi.
•   Coordination with design team GECIA.

Experience & Knowledge requirements
•   Strong general technical knowledge, with an emphasis on mechanical engineering.
•   Experience with CAD software in mechanical and electrical design of machines.
•   Experience within an engineering or service team.
•   Good knowledge of English (oral and written).

Educational requirements
•   Master of engineering mechanics or electro mechanics or equivalent through experience.

Personality requirements
•   Interest in compressors and compressor applications.
•   Willing to learn, easy to adapt new systems and processes.
•   Team player.
•   Good, pro-active communication skills.
