Mission

  • The Platform Engineer will contribute to the design, deployment, automation and operation of cloud and Kubernetes platforms. He will be involved in the implementation of reproducible and governed infrastructures, while integrating best practices for controlling cloud costs: tagging, monitoring consumption, detecting drifts and supporting optimization processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and document the building blocks allowing the exploitation of Terraform for the provisioning of cloud infrastructures at scale.
  • Participate in the administration, deployment and optimization of Kubernetes platforms.
  • Contribute to the industrialization of deployments via CI/CD pipelines and rigorous Git and GitOps practices.
  • Implement the tagging, naming and governance standards necessary for cost management.
  • Analyze cloud consumption and identify the first avenues for FinOps optimization.
  • Participate in the implementation of dashboards, cost reports and budget alerts.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, DevOps, infrastructure and applications teams to ensure reliable, secure and financially controlled deployments.
  • Write technical documentation, runbooks, operating procedures and best practice guides.
  • Required Skills
  • Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or equivalent role, ideally in a hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environment.
  • Good command of Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • First experience with FinOps tools, processes or practices: cost tracking, allocation by tags, budgets, alerts, anomalies, resource optimization.
  • Good understanding of cloud-native principles: automation, scalability, resiliency, security by design, and observability.
  • Experience with a source code management system and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to clearly document implemented solutions and transfer knowledge to internal teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Working knowledge of AWS: accounts, IAM, network, observability, budgets, Cost Explorer or equivalent services.
  • Working knowledge of Azure: cloud resources, monitoring or governance.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps: Repos, Pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Entra ID for identity integration, federation, SSO, or access management.
  • Experience with KubeCost or OpenCost for cost analysis and allocation.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, RBAC, secrets management, and integration with observability tools.

  • The ideal candidate has a medior level (Minimum 3 years in a similar position), with sufficient experience to work independently on technical topics, while knowing how to escalate architecture or governance decisions. It combines a hands-on approach, good documentary rigour and a growing sensitivity to the challenges of cloud economic management.
  • Expected qualities
  • Autonomy, rigor and sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Analytical mind, especially to understand the links between architecture, use and costs.
  • Solution-oriented, automation, standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Good written and oral communication, with special attention to documentation.
