Senior DevOps Engineer<\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Overview<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Our client, a leading financial\-services organization in Belgium, is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their technology and platform engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a security\-first mindset, and experience working in highly regulated environments. You will help design, automate, and optimise CI\/CD pipelines, cloud and on\-prem infrastructure, and operational workflows that support mission\-critical financial applications.<\/span>
<\/p>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Platform & Infrastructure Engineering<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure (on\-prem, cloud, or hybridâdepending on client environment).<\/span>
<\/li> Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.<\/span>
<\/li> Oversee containerisation and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul>

CI\/CD & Automation<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Build, maintain, and optimise CI\/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).<\/span>
<\/li> Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth, automated deployments.<\/span>
<\/li> Improve release processes, reduce deployment risk, and increase deployment frequency.<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul>

Monitoring, Reliability & Operations<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Implement monitoring, observability, and logging solutions (ELK, Prometheus\/Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.).<\/span>
<\/li> Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and system\-level issues across environments.<\/span>
<\/li> Participate in on\-call or incident\-management rotations (if required by the client).<\/span>

Security & Compliance<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Embed security in all DevOps workflows (âshift\-leftâ security).<\/span>
<\/li> Support compliance with Belgian and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, EBA guidelines).<\/span>
<\/li> Work closely with Security and Risk teams to implement best\-practice controls.<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul>

Collaboration & Culture<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Act as a bridge between development, infrastructure, and security teams.<\/span>
<\/li> Promote DevOps best practices, automation culture, and continuous improvement.<\/span>
<\/li> Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.<\/span>
<\/li> <\/ul>

Requirements<\/h3>

Required Skills & Experience<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.<\/span>
<\/li> Strong background with Linux systems engineering and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).<\/span>
<\/li> Hands\-on experience with CI\/CD tools and version\-control systems (Git).<\/span>
<\/li> Expertise with containerisation and orchestration technologies.<\/span>
<\/li> Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).<\/span>
<\/li> Knowledge of networking concepts (VPN, DNS, load balancing, firewalls).<\/span>
<\/li> Fleunt in English and French or Dutch Ideally <\/span>
<\/li> Solid understanding of security practices and regulatory considerations in financial services.<\/span>
