Role Name: Senior Data Functional Analyst
Location: Galileelaan 5/01, 1210 Brussels
Remote Work: Partial remote.
Consultant must work from the Brussels office at least 2 days per week and reside within Belgium for telework.
Start Date: 28/07/2025End Date: 31/12/2025

Workload: Full-time
Language Requirement: Dutch and French (minimum B2+), English passive knowledge.
Assignment Duration & Critical Notes:
The contract is explicitly short term (just over 5 months).Presence at the office in Brussels is mandatory twice per week.Teleworking is only permitted within Belgian borders.This role is part of a collaborative Data Office team focused on healthcare and disability data exchanges between national institutions.
Job Description:
Context:
Their Data Office ensures ethical, effective, and secure data handling between Belgian and European healthcare entities. This role supports the setup of a new shared data platform to enhance the quality and frequency of data exchanges.
Responsibilities:
Lead analysis for a new data platform related to health and disability data.Identify and assess business requirements across stakeholders.Translate business needs into data requirements and functional specifications.Design data architecture and validate data models (Kimball methodology).Collaborate with BI and ICT teams for implementation.Coordinate with the DPO to ensure GDPR and security compliance.Participate in testing and validation of data products.Act as the primary contact for user training, adoption, and post-delivery feedback.Continuously improve and refine data solutions after go-live.
Technical and Professional Skills Required.
Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience.At least 10 years of experience in data functional analysis.Strong experience in data modelling (conceptual and logical).Hands-on experience in data flow design and documentation.Kimball data warehouse methodology knowledge.Familiarity with tools such as MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, DataBricks.Prior experience as a data engineer is a plus.Experience in data architecture, data quality monitoring, and MDM.Solid SQL skills.Soft Skills and Competencies
