About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior Developer / Technical Analyst / Scrum Master for a high-impact, freelance assignment with our client in Brussels. This is a 26-month freelance opportunity for a builder who thrives on technical leadership, innovation, and shaping the future of enterprise platforms. You’ll be at the heart of a mission-critical transformation, leveraging the latest technologies to architect, develop, and optimize scalable solutions that matter.

As a Senior Developer / Tech Lead, you will be instrumental in translating complex business needs into robust, scalable, and secure technical solutions. Your leadership will directly impact the quality, performance, and future-readiness of the platform, empowering teams and driving business outcomes that shape the industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Setting the technical standard: Oversee code quality, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers to elevate technical excellence.
• Translating business and domain challenges into actionable technical analyses and clear specifications.
• Architecting and developing a scalable business platform using .NET and Azure cloud technologies.
• Leading AI-native development: Guide AI agents in writing, testing, and refactoring code, ensuring architectural integrity, security, and quality.
• Driving DevOps culture: Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and foster a collaborative, automation-first environment.
• Championing frontend development with Angular, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Evaluating and integrating AI-coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) into real-world projects, critically assessing their output.
• Coaching and empowering the team, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Senior-level expertise in .NET / C# development and enterprise software engineering.
• Deep experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven track record in DevOps, CI/CD engineering, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Frontend development proficiency with Angular.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software engineering tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and the ability to critically evaluate their contributions.
• Technical leadership: Code reviews, mentoring, and technical analysis.
• Event-driven architecture and event sourcing, ideally with Marten.
• API design and optimization with GraphQL.
• Experience with PostgreSQL (document and SQL databases).
• Message-based systems and event-driven architecture using RabbitMQ & MassTransit.
• Application of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles for scalable, well-structured solutions.
• Implementation and use of Elasticsearch for advanced search and data analysis.
• Application security and code quality assurance.
• Certifications AZ-204 and AZ-400 are a plus.

Language Proficiency

• Professional proficiency in French, Dutch, and English is required.
