With the recruitment of a CI/CD implementation specialist, the ICT Support Service of the client aims to move towards a professional CI/CD approach by:
- Mapping existing initiatives
- Identifying good practices from these initiatives and supplementing them with best practices from the market, in order to define a standard that will then be followed and controlled;
- Putting in place the necessary reusable tools
- Developing an action plan with each team, starting with the most important/recent initiatives, to ensure the transition
- Developing documentation relating to the standard and the progress of the transition
- Supporting development teams through this transition.
The requested expertise is described as follows:
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as a CI/CD implementation manager in similar projects and/or complex environments
- Minimum 3 years of experience within DevOps teams in the creation of CI/CD pipelines
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience in continuous delivery environments, and more specifically in the integration of automation tools such as Sonar and Selenium with other tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Docker
- Minimum 1 year of experience in automation within Cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
- Minimum 1 year of experience with the ELK stack
- Experience in integrating SCA (e.g., CAST Highlight) and SAST tools via pipelines is an asset.
As a CI/CD implementation expert, you also possess the following qualities:
- Strong communication and change management skills with development teams, infrastructure teams and management
- Professional experience with tools such as MS Teams, Jira and Confluence, in the context of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the continuous improvement and innovation of current software integration and deployment processes and tools, in accordance with CI/CD best practices
- Map current CI/CD processes and develop a step-by-step improvement plan aimed at increasing standardization, automation and quality level
- Supporting teams in the implementation of the improvement plan
- Assume leadership responsibilities, guide automation efforts and participate in the implementation of automation processes, environments and scripts ensuring the highest level of software quality
- Communicate implementation plans, issues, delays, and risks related to CI/CD automation to project teams, management, and other stakeholders.
