Logistics Manager
Ready to take the lead in logistics?
For an international production company in the Genk region, we are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager.
You will take responsibility for a broad logistics operation covering warehousing, internal logistics, packaging and transport.
Your goal is clear: keep the daily operation running smoothly, anticipate problems and continuously improve the way things are done.
You will have about 10 direct reports and be responsible for approximately 40 operational employees across logistics and packaging.
What will you do?
• Lead, coach and challenge Team Leaders and logistics employees
• Coordinate incoming, internal and outgoing goods flows
• Ensure daily international transports by road, air and sea and customer orders are completed on time
• Monitor staffing, workload and capacity and act before bottlenecks arise
• Reallocate people when priorities or volumes change
• Improve packaging, picking and warehouse processes
• Analyse complaints, errors and recurring issues and turn them into structural improvements
• Work closely with planning, production, purchasing and quality
• Follow up on transport partners, service levels and costs
• Monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality and delivery performance
• Lead continuous improvement projects
• Create a safe, organized and efficient working environment
The challenge

We are looking for someone who does more than solve daily problems. You anticipate, make decisions, challenge your Team Leaders and look for the root cause when issues keep returning.
Who are we looking for?
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in logistics, supply chain or a related field
• At least 5 years of relevant leadership experience managing Team Leaders and operational teams
• Strong background in logistics, warehousing or international transport
• Knowledge of road, sea, air freight and container flows
• Strong planning and problem solving skills
• Proactive, independent and assertive working style
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office
