About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking three Senior Technical Project Leaders to independently drive a portfolio of high-impact IT infrastructure projects for our client. This freelance opportunity is designed for elite builders who thrive on complex transformation, security, and modernization challenges. You will be at the forefront of shaping critical technology landscapes, ensuring robust, secure, and future-ready solutions that matter to millions.

As a Senior Technical Project Leader, you will be instrumental in delivering projects that underpin national-scale services, from secure authentication to cloud adoption and CI/CD enablement. Your leadership will directly impact operational resilience, regulatory compliance (NIS2), and the digital experience of end-users across vital sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle: from scoping and scenario planning to execution, delivery, and stakeholder alignment.
• Lead cross-functional teams, arbitrate priorities, and ensure transparent communication with clients, partners, technical teams, and governance bodies.
• Drive project planning, budgeting, risk management, quality assurance, and reporting with autonomy and precision.
• Coordinate and deliver on a diverse portfolio of projects, including:
  • FTP to sFTP Migration: Oversee roadmap, partner communications (40+ stakeholders), application adaptation, and documentation.
  • Authentication Modernization: Reduce reliance on username/password, align and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
  • L2000 / Adabas: Stabilize and future-proof critical infrastructure, prepare for database containerization, and plan legacy migrations.
  • DMFA / Rest: Implement APIs to standardize Adabas database access and update impacted client systems.
  • Security of Platforms: Harmonize security practices, structure roadmaps, and ensure NIS2 compliance.
  • Public Cloud: Support onboarding, drive technological consistency, and manage organizational impacts in Google Cloud or multi-cloud environments.
  • CI/CD: Strengthen program management and coordinate with architecture teams for continuous delivery excellence.
• Champion best practices in project governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement within project teams.

What We’re Looking For

• University degree or equivalent experience
• Proven experience managing complex, large-scale technical projects
• Mastery of project dimensions: timeline, budget, scope, quality, risks, and governance
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and coaching skills
• Methodical, autonomous, and results-driven approach
• Experience with G-Cloud, social security, healthcare, or public services is a strong asset
• French or Dutch speaker with active knowledge of the other national language

Other Requirements

• Freelance position: Full-time, initial period from October 26, 2026 to December 31, 2026
• Possible extension by three-month periods, as needed
• Hybrid work: Minimum two days per week onsite, up to three days remote
• Location: Brussels, Belgium

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in French or Dutch, with active working knowledge of the other national language
