Gentbrugge, Belgique Trevi Environmental Solutions Télétravail Temps plein

Job description

At Trevi, a specialist in environmental technology, our Odour Control department is looking for a driven Lead Project Engineer who combines technical depth with leadership. In this key role, you will steer international projects from design to delivery. In this department, we design and build custom air purification installations based on advanced techniques such as activated carbon, chemical gas scrubbing, and biotrickling filters. Our systems are deployed worldwide at wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and in the waste processing industry. Since 1998 we have completed more than 1000 such installations, with a strong focus on the Middle East region.

As Lead Project Engineer you are the key figure in the full realization of our international projects. You combine leading a team with an active, hands-on role in engineering. From our head office in Gentbrugge you manage the process from initial design through to final delivery.

  • Team & coordination: you lead a team of 5 motivated employees. You are their first point of contact, you divide tasks and help them work through technical challenges.

  • Hands-on engineering: you stay actively involved in practice. You are co-responsible for the detailed engineering of the installations (process, mechanical, and electrical) and for drawing up accurate quotations.

  • Client contact: together with the sales engineer, you maintain diplomatic, professional relationships with our clients in the Middle East (agents, contractors, end clients, etc.). To deliver projects, you are willing to travel to the region occasionally, on a project basis.

  • Project follow-up: you closely monitor execution in the field, proactively flag bottlenecks and resolve them quickly thanks to your expertise. You report directly to management on progress.

Who are we looking for?

  • You hold a Master's degree (Industrial or Bioscience Engineering), preferably in (Bio)Chemistry or Environmental Technology.

  • You preferably have demonstrable experience with environmental technology and the technical realization of industrial installations (process, electrical, mechanical).

  • You have relevant project management experience and have already guided multiple complex projects from A to Z.

  • You are a natural team leader: you know how to motivate people, divide tasks, and follow up on them.

  • You work analytically, in a structured way, and independently, even when several projects are running simultaneously.

  • You are customer- and result-oriented, and communicate clearly and professionally, including in international contexts.

  • You express yourself fluently in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing – this is a strict requirement.

  • Willingness to travel abroad (project-related, limited in duration).

What do we offer?

A challenging key position with a high degree of autonomy and international impact, backed by the stability and expertise of the Trevi Group.
An attractive salary, supplemented by a package that grows along with your experience and responsibilities.

Extra-legal benefits:

  • Group insurance and annual eco-vouchers

  • Meal vouchers and a Flex Income Plan

  • Option for bike leasing

  • Company car

Training and onboarding:

  • Intensive guidance from experienced colleagues.

Good work-life balance:

  • 12 ADV days (additional days off) for full-time employment.

  • No collective shutdown: you choose when to plan your vacation.

  • After the training period, you can work from home one day per week.

An inspiring work environment:

  • A beautiful green location on the Scheldt in Gentbrugge.

  • Fresh soup and fruit from our own kitchen every day.

  • The opportunity to walk or exercise during your lunch break in a relaxing environment.
